What is a Patient Participation Group (PPG)?

A Patient Participation Group (PPG) is a group where patients, carers, and GP staff talk about how the practice can be better. They discuss patient experiences and ideas to improve healthcare services.

PPG Purpose:

  • Let patients and staff talk about things they care about.
  • Help patients give ideas about their healthcare.
  • Look at patient feedback and surveys to make plans and improve.
  • Share thoughts on national surveys and suggest changes.
  • Support health education.

Virtual PPG:

We are starting a virtual group for patients who can’t come to meetings. We’ll use email to keep you updated and get your ideas, just like in face-to-face meetings.

Interested? Contact us to join! We value your feedback to make our services even better.

Getting Your View

The group would like to contact patients on occasion by email and/or text so that they can obtain the views of the widest group of patients possible. We would like to obtain your email address and mobile phone number to do this. Please complete the Patient Contact Form to provide your consent for this.
